I am eligible to apply for a PSW (Post-Study Work) visa after I graduate, and this visa allows me to work in the UK without needing a sponsorship for two years (until 2024) whereas after which I might need a sponsorship.

WORK EXPERIENCE

May 2020 - July 2020                                                                                                                           Software Test Engineer, Mindray

  • Tested the software of Ultrasound Doppler System and reported the bugs to different teams including the medical imaging team, the hardware team and the control team

  • Manually applied image processing on the ultrasound images to validate the results automatically generated from the software.

  • Used different Ultrasound Doppler probes to obtain images from different human organs.

  • Tested 1000 use cases where each use cases indicates a clinical scenario.

June 2019 - August 2019                                       Research Assistant, Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology

  • Researched state-of-the-art medical devices for non-invasive intracranial pressure measurement.

  • Used Solid Edge to model the device and applied finite element analysis (FEA) to calculate the strain and stress.

  • Demonstrated great time management and team working

January 2020 - March 2020                                                                                      Teaching Assistant, The University of Edinburgh

  • Prepared tutorials and lecture notes beforehand, and work with other TAs to give tutorial classes.

  • Demonstrated the solutions of tutorial questions and mock exam questions.
